Dare I say my favourite thing about Malmö is the food culture? After spending so much time exploring the food scene in this city, I'm excited to share with you all 


When Eataly approached the Swedish market in 2014, we received a warm of Italian food and Swedish gastronomic culture, merging Italian cuisine with local 

The way it is spiced and cooked often reflects the storage needs of the peasant communities of the old days, as in the case of pickled herring, freshly salted or smoked meat, or dairy products that have been curdled, boiled or left to mature. In the province of Skåne in southern Sweden, a distinctive culinary identity has been shaped by its excellent local produce, fish and meats. In Skåne’s capital city of Malmö, the international population has brought world flavours and added vibrancy to this local food culture. Sweden’s nature and the produce it yields create opportunities for exclusive culinary experiences. And as the Swedish food scene grows, a new style of cooking is developing. Swedish chefs are returning to their culinary roots, rediscovering classic Swedish dishes and fantastic local seasonal ingredients, and giving them a modern twist. The Swedish dietary guidelines are aimed at healthy adults, adolescents and children 2 years and over and can be adjusted to different food cultures.
